Investigator Melvin Pierce has been employed by the Knoxville Police Department since January 1996. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a BA degree in Criminal Justice and Environmental Sociology in 1995. He graduated from the Knoxville Police Department Training Academy in July 1996. He organized and lead The Knoxville Police Department Youth Boot camp, which focuses on dealing with “at risk teens.” In May of 2002, He became an Investigator with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. He is a trained "EnCase" forensic examiner and ICAC trainer and ICAC crime prevention instructor.
